Project Kuiper is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shipping/Logistics individual contributor to join our fast-paced transportation environment. In this role, you will be responsible for working with multiple stakeholders across different orgs and geographical locations to manage an impactful, highly visible program that enables transportation and storage. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, robust communication experience, failproof time management skills, desire to expand their scope, and a keen eye for process improvement to drive our team's success in meeting service level agreements and maintaining high customer satisfaction.
Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.
Key job responsibilities
- Define, monitor and report on key performance indicators and ensure proper metrics tracking
- Provide clear, concise, and regular program updates to a wide range of stakeholders
- Develop and maintain forecasting tools and partner with procurement to satisfy demand
- Maintain quality control and accuracy
- Define and drive the life cycle of the program, influencing multiple stakeholders without authority
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and proper equipment usage
- Monitor and prioritize urgent requests for logistical movements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process improvements
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues to maintain operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, logistics, supply chain or equivalency certificate- 4+ years' experience in Project Management
- 4+ years' experience in Supply Chain and Logistics
- Experience working with SAP/ERP systems
- Experience Communicating with and influencing cross-functional teams
- Detail oriented, organized, and demonstrates a high sense of urgency
- Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted
- Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and/or weekends as required supporting a 24/7 operating environment
Extended Qualifications
- 7+ years' experience in Project Management- 2+ years' experience in Cold Chain Logistics
- PMP Certification
- General understanding of lean manufacturing
- Experience within the aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or electronic manufacturing fields
- Forklift certified and experience with handling equipment
- Experience with shipping Dangerous Goods

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $101,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
