The Learning Process Engineering (LPE) organization exists to create cost effective, best in class on-boarding and developmental solutions and content to support business operational priorities. We do this with standard repeatable agnostic processes with a focus on a blended workforce to unlock flexibility and speed for our operators and customers. We build learning experiences that empower leaders and associates to onboard efficiently, gain proficiency, and achieve success in their roles.

We are seeking a Learning Experience Designer to join our Associate Proficiency team. This individual will create interactive and engaging learning experiences for R2L associates as they learn their new roles and build their skills. The Learning Experience Designer will leverage learning objectives and business needs to design an optimal learning experience and build the content to create that experience.

Key job responsibilities

- Design and develop creative, learner-centered, performance-based training materials utilizing interactive eLearning modules and videos, and in-app embedded learning content

- Own and create eLearning modules, assessments, measurement tools, and evaluations of training effectiveness

- Develop scalable modules to ensure all training programs are consistent and ready for a potentially global audience

- Facilitate scoping meetings with subject-matter-experts and technical project leads; devise and drive training communication updates

- Effectively manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

About the team

The Associate Proficiency team helps new and transitioning Rapid and Rural logistics associates onboard and assimilate into their roles from New Hire Orientation through proficiency. The team builds learning experiences that enable associates to achieve key learning objectives and carry out their roles safely and with a high-level of quality.



Qualifications

- 3+ years of program or project management experience

- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

- Bachelor's degree

- 3+ year relevant experience in instructional design role

- Experience with authoring tools, such as Storyline, Lectora, Articulate, Rise, and more

- Experience designing adult learning experiences from desired learning outcomes and business requirements



Extended Qualifications

- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

- General knowledge of technical languages including JavaScript and xAPI

- Proven work experience designing and delivering training solutions to large organizations

- Advanced multimedia development in audio, video, and/or animation (e.g. Adobe Illustrator, PhotoShop)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
