Description
Amazon Corporate Security’s (ACS) mission is to deliver a safe and secure workplace for all Amazonians. The Business Assurance Center’s (BAC) Kuiper Security Operations Center supports this mission by providing 24/7 global security operations center (GSOC) services to Kuiper, serving as a single point of intake for corporate security issues worldwide.Key job responsibilities
• Lead a team of mixed-skillset professionals providing safety, security and compliance alignment support to Amazon’s Project Kuiper
• Oversee procurement and service delivery from ACS’ vendor partners, designing and conducting business reviews, assessing performance against contracted key performance indicators (KPI) and service level agreements (SLA)
• Evaluate existing technical capabilities and systems and identify opportunities for improvement to ensure strict security measures are in place for Kuiper
• Partner with Operational Excellence leaders to analyze, develop, and strengthen processes and procedures; spearhead dedicated process development and integration across the greater team including with partners in Kuiper. Empower the team to utilize the resources and knowledge necessary to manage smaller incidents and escalations
• Collaborate with our vendor partners, onsite leads and Kuiper business teams to mitigate failures and improve performance
• Liaise and serve as point of contact with security managers from physical, technical, and prototype teams to protect critical Kuiper infrastructure
• Develop strategies to leverage operations center capabilities to support Kuiper security goals
• Develop and maintain effective and active working relationships with primary vendors, strategic business partners and team members, and actively foster an environment of teamwork
• Perform on-call duty as needed (includes after-hours, weekends, holidays)
A day in the life
As the Kuiper SOC Manager, you will own service delivery across a team responsible for daily operational work within the BAC. New hires must excel in vendor management and be able to provide senior-level direction and tactical response to operational issues encountered by their teams. You must obsess over our internal and external customers, triaging and responding to their security needs, and leveraging your verbal and written communication skills. You may be expected to work evenings, holidays, and weekends.

Qualifications
• Experience with full-spectrum vendor management, including RFP and selection, KPI/SLA development, and ongoing performance management• Strong business writing skills
• Crisis management experience with an emphasis on preparedness and response efforts
• Experience as a senior-level security leader in a large organization
• Demonstrated ability to provide briefings to high-level executives, particularly during crises
• Track record of earning trust across security and non-security business lines
• Experience with security technologies including CCTV, Access Control and Incident Management Systems
• Superior technical aptitude; proficiency in MS Office Suite, Lenel, Tableau, security-focused PSIMs and industry standard technical applications
• Strong communication, time management, and decision-making abilities
• Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks, while maintaining strict deadlines
• Demonstrated analytical acumen and data-driven mindset towards decision-making in order to define strategy, spark growth, and fuel long-term impact
• Must be able to handle high-impact situations and remain effective under pressure
• Proven ability to guide others to deliver results in a timely manner using a strong sense of focus, organization, and meticulous attention to detail

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $107,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
