As an Strategic Supply Chain Manager within Amazon Fresh Grocery, you'll take on a critical role at the forefront of developing supply chain plans with our vendors, overseeing their execution, and delivering against our service level and cost to serve goals. Leading internal and external cross-functional initiatives will be second nature as you drive improvements to enhance customer experience and overall cost structures. Your leadership will extend across both Online and In-Store channels.
To be successful in this role, you should feel comfortable operating in a national supply chain where using data is at the core of every decision. Through building scalable systems and processes, we aim to drive our business growth in the grocery space. In joining this team, you will have the opportunity to both build and operate in an ambiguous fast-paced environment and will drive initiatives that improve sales, customer experience, and process improvement within our retail business and supply chain operations.

Strong candidates will have knowledge in fundamental business principles and previous retail and/or supply chain experience. The ideal candidate is able to lead and influence both internal and external teams in an ambiguous environment while maintaining a customer-centric philosophy.
Key job responsibilities
A successful Strategic Supply Chain Manager will:
* Manage supply planning and inventory health through: product availability metrics, inventory planning, vendor operational management (OTIF, cost to serve), demand forecast translation, and waste reduction.
* Drive cross-functional strategic initiatives to improve customer experience and overall cost structure delivered by the supply chain.
* Perform complex business analysis to identify business opportunities to improve performance to drive revenue and profitability.
* Partner with internal teams to develop tools, automation, and process improvements that affect purchasing and vendor management workflows within the supply chain.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree- 3+ years of supply chain, inventory management or project management experience
- 3+ years of with Excel experience
- Experience in Retail or wholesale business
- Experience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
Extended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in operations, supply chain or logistics- Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps influencing internal and external stakeholders
- Experience with SQL
- Experience in CPG supply chain
- Experience in Grocery supply chain
- Experience in forecasting and supply planning

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $48,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $103,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
