Description
The Knowledge Management & Governance team is seeking an experienced Information Architect to help design and implement the structure, organization, and user experience of the information and content systems relied upon by AWS sellers. In this role, you will be responsible for helping design the overall information architecture, including ontologies, and metadata schemas, to facilitate efficient knowledge management and user-friendly content navigation.You will establish and enforce information governance policies to ensure our content adheres to all relevant security, privacy, and compliance standards. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Field teams, researchers, subject matter experts, and content authors to align the information architecture with the operational needs of the organization while fostering an intuitive experience for the Field. By leveraging your expertise in data management, systems integration, and user experience design, you will play a crucial role in creating a seamless and secure content ecosystem that empowers our AWS Field professionals.

A day in the life
This role requires successful collaboration across cross-functional teams, including Tools Development, Product Marketing Management, Specialized Sales, Go-to-Market Specialists, Operations, Legal, Security, and Training & Certification. As a Program Manager, you will provide guidance, plan implementations, measure success, and communicate results. You will exemplify obsession for our customers, and work backwards to understand their needs. You will work on global, cross-functional content programs, and present and lead conversations about project issues, solutions, and strategy to leadership and stakeholders. You will deliver results in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment.
About the team
The Worldwide Field Enablement’s Knowledge Management and Governance (KMG) team is focused on providing the best experience for the Sales Field related to their interactions with enablement content and the information they need to succeed in their roles. The team has five main functions: 1/Set the strategy and vision for learning in the flow of work through AWS systems (aka in-flow enablement); 2/Provide content creation and management support for content owners across Sales, Marketing, and Global Services; 3/Establish and enforce content standards for the content available to the Field through our various systems; 4/Enforce an information architecture and governance model that ensures for content accuracy, quality, and alignment to standards and requirements; 5/Establish the business requirements for technical functionality needed to facilitate in-flow enablement for the Field.

About Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of program or project management experience- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Management, Preservation and Archival Studies, or Library Sciences.
Extended Qualifications
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
