Description
Amazon Web Services is seeking a results-driven Industry Marketing Manager to spearhead the development of our customer and events marketing strategy aligned to financial services, represented our owned events and industry sponsorships. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution to drive measurable business outcomes by reaching existing and new customers across the industry.This role would own the overall event strategy for our most important events, customer engagement activities, and sit at the center of a cross functional team driving the launch and completion of these events. The person in this role will partner with internal teams such as product marketing, field marketing, business development, solutions architecture, sales, and event logistics. To be successful in this role, you will need to utilize exceptional project management skills to manage pre-event communication, event planning, and post-event follow-up to optimize lead generation opportunities. This highly motivated and extremely organized candidate must have experience planning complex in-person events, managing projects happening concurrently, possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, be comfortable working with both internal and external customers at all levels, and have experience working with global stakeholders. This person will need to work effectively within a small team and think strategically, while also rolling up their sleeves and getting stuff done – no detail will be too small and they'll never say "that's not my job". They’ll obsess over details, display poise and sophistication in fast-moving situations, embrace ambiguity, and deliver results.

This role travels up to 20-30% of its time, including internationally.

Key job responsibilities
• Strategic Event Planning and Execution: Develop and maintain an events roadmap that integrates seamlessly with marketing and organizational goals.
• Project Management: Oversee all aspects of event, supported by the AWS Events Team.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication.
• Tactical Excellence: Maintain an acute attention to detail while managing the broad strategic vision, ensuring flawless execution of event-related activities.
• Data-Driven Reporting: Deliver comprehensive post-event reports, offering a data-driven analysis of opportunities developed and influenced. This includes attribution analysis to understand the impact of each event on lead generation and conversion.
• Materials Packaging: Coordinate the design, production, and distribution of event materials, ensuring they are of high quality, align with brand standards.
• Continuous Improvement: Utilize feedback and analytics to recommend and implement improvements for future events, aiming for innovation in how we present our brand and engage with our audience.
• Customer Advocacy: Deliver relevant case studies in various formats for use by marketing and sales; align with stakeholders on needs; guide customer speakers; write, gain approval, and track submissions of abstracts for calls for speakers; maintain relationships with organizations to position AWS preferred customer speakers at events.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience- 7+ years of developing and managing acquisition marketing or channel programs experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience developing and executing campaigns across a multitude of timezones and languages
Extended Qualifications
- Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners- Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners with global footprint

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
