Description

We are looking for a strong logical thinker, problem solver, program manager to provide support for analyzing people and operational metrics and supporting talent initiatives within the Data Center Communities’ (DCC) HR organization.The HR Specialist, Business Operations in DCC will enable all levels of DCC management to understand key trends throughout the business by leveraging existing dashboards and data platforms to develop reporting and analytic solutions. The successful candidate will be highly analytical, have attention to detail and a passion for process improvement. The ideal candidate will be able to tell stories using data, make recommendations and indicate trends to the business leaders.
This role will work closely with senior human resource leaders on data collections, presentation and storytelling to help support the business decisions. In addition, this role may take on program management responsibilities as needed to support organization-wide talent initiatives. This person needs to thrive in an ambiguous environment, is comfortable driving change, is curious and solutions oriented.
Key job responsibilities
Data & Analysis Support
- Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.
- Surface insights from the data and make recommendations on potential actions that the PXT team or leaders could take.
- Support HR leadership with on demand reports and asks and deep dive data to help drive business decisions through data analysis of HR metrics.
- Create artifacts that are easily digestible by business and HR partners.
- Author concise documents communicating results to stakeholders, visualizing data where beneficial to drive decision-making.
- Draft business review narratives, white papers and additional deep dive findings as needed for senior leadership teams.
- Have the ability to be self-sufficient in mining data from various HR systems of record including from QuickSight, Clarity, Connections, etc.
- Work with the AWS People Analytics team to provide feedback on existing dashboards, and recommendations for feature enhancements
- Understanding of statistical analysis, identifying trends and making recommendations based on data analysis.
Business Operations Support
- Support working backward plans and milestone tracking toward large Talent Management or other organization-wide deliverables.
- Navigate multiple competing priorities and context switch regularly
- Develop regular status reports on ongoing initiatives that enable PXT leaders to quickly assess where they need to focus their time for maximum impact.
- Support a wide range of PXT projects, as needed.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Business or a related field.- Experience with data analytics and telling stories with data to provide direction to business leaders.
- Advanced analytical skills and an ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
- Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, PowerBI)
- Excellent communication (verbal, written, and data presentation) skills for interactions with both business and technical teams
Extended Qualifications
- Familiarity with AWS QuickSight- Creative and critical thinker
- Impeccable attention to detail, passion for processes and systems
- Experience implementing processes and providing support for core HR solutions
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with ability to balance competing priorities
- Advanced technical or business degree (MS or MBA)
- High levels of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $113,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $187,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
