Description

Are you both data savvy and emotionally intelligent? We are looking for a dynamic HR professional to join our Amazon Web Services (AWS) Human Resources team supporting the Databases Organization within the larger Utility Computing organization.

AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

As the Sr. HRBP, you will support Directors in the RDS Platform, RDS Commercial, and Data Migration Organization within the relational Database organization. The RDS function innovates around the database engine, leveraging AWS Infrastructure innovations and our experience of operating the largest cloud database fleet to offer services with better customer management than self-managed alternatives. RDS commercial enables migrating commercial database workloads to a managed service, addressing immediate data-center-exit goals allowing customers to tackle potentially risky database modernization to later. The Database Migration team enables database workload migrations (code, schema, and data) for a broad set of database services, supporting sources including non-AWS sources.

As the Sr. HRBP, you will also be responsible for driving strategy and execution for the entire Relational Databases organization across important business focus areas such as driving Organizational Health and effectiveness, Workforce planning, Location strategy and more. You will also closely partner with the Organization’s Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (ID&E) PM to drive the ID&E goals for the organization.

To be successful in this role, you must understand business priorities and goals and translate them into the highest impact work. You’ll help business leaders look around corners with recommendations based on data that improve organizational effective and builder experience. Ability to facilitate change management for large organizations within a rapid and complex changing work environment, create efficiencies, and make sound judgement in ambiguous situations are critical to the success of this role. Success will also require an aptitude to dive deep and analyze data to develop meaningful insights and conclusions, and to be able to present clearly and with purpose to the relevant audience.
