Description

Are you looking for the chance to work in a fast-paced start-up environment while learning about cutting edge technology and GenAI products and services? We are looking for a dynamic HR professional to join our Amazon Web Services (AWS) Human Resources team supporting the [GenAI] Q for Business organization. The ideal candidate will be operationally strong in HR practitioner work, but also demonstrate a deep curiosity for our business and leverage that understanding to support the businesses future strategy and talent needs. Candidates should have had success in supporting an engineering population before, including software development engineers, product management leaders, and technology scientists.

Q for Business is part of the broader Utility Computing (UC) organization – which is the core engineering arm of AWS. Q for Business includes teams aligned to services such as QuickSight, the Q assistant features that are embedded in other AWS services, as well as emerging products. QuickSight is AWS’s unified business intelligence platform that offers interactive dashboards, pixel-perfect reports, natural language queries and embedded analytics. Q Business contains a generative AI–powered assistant that can answer questions, provide summaries, generate content, and securely complete tasks based on data and information in your enterprise systems. It empowers employees to be more creative, data-driven, efficient, prepared, and productive.

As the Sr. HRBP, you will be responsible for both strategy and execution across the entire Q for Business organization in important business focus areas such as driving Organizational Health and effectiveness, Workforce planning, Location strategy and more. You will also closely partner with the Organization’s Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (ID&E) team to drive the ID&E goals for the organization and with Talent Acquisition stakeholders on building the right teams, with the right skills, in the right places.

To be successful in this role, you must understand business priorities and goals and translate them into the highest impact work. You’ll help business leaders look around corners with recommendations based on data that improve organizational effective and builder experience. Ability to facilitate change management for large organizations within a rapid and complex changing work environment, create efficiencies, and make sound judgement in ambiguous situations are critical to the success of this role. Success will also require an aptitude to dive deep and analyze data to develop meaningful insights and conclusions, and to be able to present clearly and with purpose to the relevant audience.
