Description
The Devices Software and Services PXT team is seeking a bold, strategic Principal HRBP who thrives on transformational challenges and is committed to building world-class organizations. In this high-impact role, you'll be at the forefront of driving business success by architecting talent strategies, elevating senior leadership capabilities, and crafting an organizational ecosystem that delivers breakthrough technology.Key job responsibilities
As a Principal HRBP, you will be more than just a partner – you will be a catalyst for organizational excellence, serving as the strategic advisor driving our people and organizational initiatives. At the intersection of talent and business strategy, you will shape the future of our Devices technology organization while working alongside some of tech's most innovative leaders. You will directly influence business outcomes through people strategies that impact thousands of employees globally.
• Partner with VP-level and Director-level leaders to develop and execute comprehensive people strategies that directly impact business results
• Lead complex organizational design initiatives that span multiple functions and geographies
• Drive talent management strategies including succession planning, leadership development, and performance management for large-scale organizations
• Identify organizational risks and opportunities, developing data-driven solutions that address root causes
• Influence and navigate ambiguous, high-stakes situations requiring significant business judgment
• Lead change management for major organizational transformations, mergers, or restructuring efforts
• Orchestrate collaboration across PXT functions including Talent Management, Learning, Employee Relations, IXT, Legal, and others
• Develop innovative approaches to organizational challenges that become scalable solutions across Amazon
• Coach and mentor junior HRBPs, raising the bar for the broader PXT organization
Focus Areas
You will concentrate on four essential pillars of HRBP work:
1. Organizational Effectiveness - Design and implement organizational structures, processes, and metrics that drive business performance
2. Senior Leader and Leadership Team Effectiveness - Coach and develop executives and their teams to maximize leadership impact
3. Talent Excellence - Create and execute strategies for attracting, developing, and retaining top talent
4. Transformation of Leadership Culture - Shape and evolve leadership behaviors and practices that reinforce Amazon's Leadership Principles
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience- Experience building cross-functional partnerships and influencing stakeholders across the organization to act without having a direct reporting relationship
- Experience analyzing HR data and translating metrics into actionable workforce strategies
- Experience working directly with senior executives and leadership teams
- Experience working with global teams, driving organizational change initiatives, and developing talent management plans for a global organization
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience with at least 7 years in HR Business Partner or equivalent roles
Extended Qualifications
- Master's degree in HR Management, Organizational Development, Business Administration or related fields- Experience handling ambiguous or undefined challenges through strong problem solving abilities
- 12+ years of progressive HR experience with multinational technology companies
- Experience supporting software development, engineering, or technical organizations
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect people strategies to business outcomes
- Experience developing and implementing innovative HR solutions at scale

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
