The impact Global Services has on customers is as diverse as it is significant, helping them upskill their workforce, and with landing, operating, modernizing, and transforming their workloads on AWS, with value-add partners and security embedded throughout.Global Services Go-to-Market (GTM) Activation Lead owns GS activation planning and educating AWS field teams, Service and Industry Specialist teams, and GS Business Development and Sales teams on GS services/offerings, partnering with the enablement and activation focused roles/teams within GS and in AWS Worldwide Field Enablement (WWFE). This includes partnering with the GS GTM/BD/Sales leadership and the GS Products team to identify and define GS services/offerings portfolio enablement and activation priorities. The role invents and builds scalable mechanisms that go beyond initial enablement and learning, and partners with the relevant stakeholders to drive activation/action with the AWS teams that lead to prospecting, pipeline creation, and customer engagement with the GS services/offerings. To measure success, the role will develop mechanisms to measure impact, including pipeline attribution to the activation mechanisms. The best candidate must be comfortable influencing cross functional global teams in dynamic organizations as most of the responsibilities will have dependency on other teams, and leading and influencing in a virtual environment.
The right candidate will have demonstrated experience in enablement and activation at a significant scale, consistent with size and scale of AWS, and in a go-to-market function in technology products & services organization. A candidate must have a history of inventing activation mechanisms focused on sales/GTM/BD teams, and consistently delivering results. The candidate will need a strong analytical acumen, synthesis, structuring, and problem-solving skills to translate ambiguous and incomplete information into actionable, high-quality assets and mechanisms that deliver results. The role requires a strong bias for “customer obsession” and “invent and simplify”, demonstrated experience in cross-functional stakeholder management and alignment, strong communications skills, a customer-obsessed collaborative approach, and a strong data/metrics bias.
Key job responsibilities
• Develop activation strategies and plans for GS services/offerings partnering with the various enablement and activation focused roles in GS and with the WWFE teams and work with GTM content teams to adjust and tune enablement and content strategies and assets.
• Execute prioritized activation strategies and plans partnering with the AWS Field teams, Service and Industry Specialist teams, GS BD/Sales teams, and other relevant roles, through existing and new mechanisms.
• Develop and maintain a robust content library of training materials (First Call Desks, Cheat Sheets, Learning Paths) and other enablement resources to support the field teams.
• Deliver GS impact via at scale activation on GS services/offerings for various roles and teams across GS and SMGS, including inventing new and leveraging existing mechanisms.
• Establish goals and KPIs to measure and communicate impact.
• Analyze adoption, pipeline, and revenue metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and drive continuous optimization of the activation programs.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of relevant experience in GTM activation and/or enablement roles.- 5+ years of relevant experience in a Go-To-Market function in a technology services & products organization
Extended Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant experience in Go-To-Market activation and/or enablement roles.- 7+ years of relevant experience in a Go-To-Market function in a technology services & products organization.
- Experience in global or world-wide roles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills. Experience communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple teams.
- Adept at executing through influence cross-functionally and up and down the org. Ability to effectively lead and work with a variety of teams, management levels, cultures, and personalities.
- Data driven but comfortable with ambiguity.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
