Description

The Data Center Security Strategy, Oversight and Risk (SOAR) team is looking for a Senior Global Program Manager who will support DC Security builders and operators through delivery of strategic physical security programs. This position will support the team's secure media handling and operations portfolio components. The DC SOAR team's mission is to standardize and elevate security practices across the Data Center Community, enabling business growth and delivery while safeguarding customer data and critical infrastructure.

The Strategy, Oversight and Risk (SOAR) Team is embedded in the Data Center Security organization and supports DC Security as well as cross-functional partners and stakeholders in the Data Center Community. The team is made up of program managers and physical security specialists who provide an array of program support under the component pillars of standards, compliance and documentation; threat indexing and planning; and secure media handling and operations. We actively seek diversity of experience, background and viewpoint. We collaborate with partners and stakeholders within DC Security and across the Data Center Community to deliver outcomes.

Key job responsibilities

Engage cross-functional stakeholders, globally, to assess and quantify risks and develop operational mitigation solutions.

Manage requirements and procedural documentation.

Analyze program data to identify trends, extract actionable insights and create reporting.

Monitor and maintain program mechanisms and tooling for customer and stakeholder intake and outreach.

Lead continuous improvement efforts to improve Data Center Security programs and processes.

A day in the life

A Global Program Manager on the Data Center Security Strategy, Oversight and Risk Team spends their day developing and executing strategic programs supporting the physical security mission with partners around the world. Each global program manager is responsible for one or more global programs, depending on complexity. Working with programs under the secure media handling and operations pillar includes: analyzing media custody data; benchmarking media handling and operations compliance and efficiency; collaborating with stakeholders to develop solutions to improve the media handling accuracy and reduce human; and convening stakeholders to bar-raise security event, investigation and response standards and procedures.

Qualifications

- 6+ years of program or project management experience

- 6+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics

- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

- Work experience, education, training or qualification in physical security or related field (i.e. risk, compliance)



Extended Qualifications

- 6+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

- 6+ years of driving process improvements experience

- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Highly driven, self-managed individual who demonstrates initiative and proactively seeks solutions to problems

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
