Description

The AWS Partner Certification Readiness (APCR) team is looking for a self-driven individual with prior account management, strategy, or business development experience in the AWS enterprise space. A successful candidate will have prior experience working with cloud service providers and deep technical knowledge of the AWS platform. As a part of the AWS Global Partner Training team, our programs and products serve 180,000+ AWS Partner Organizations. These organizations drive more than $40B USD in annual revenue to the AWS business and represent a critical part of AWS’ ability to enable customers on our services. AWS Partners require certification and enablement services to ensure their professionals are well prepared to delight our mutual customers. Our mission is to build the best digital and live-digital hybrid exam readiness experience in the market. To do this, we will create learning programs and digital products that provide learners with the necessary theory and hands on experience to prepare for AWS Certification exams and excel in their professional careers.

Our ideal candidate will have a technical background in building AWS strategies for organizations and in coaching others to understand those strategies. They are comfortable with executive presentations and public speaking in front of large audiences. They are self-driven, can employ mechanisms and put structure in place without slowing teams down. They think strategically about both the product & business goals, are capable of making tactical short-term decisions in line with long-term strategy. They evaluate risks to proactively recommend mitigation, and bring clarity in the face of ambiguous, dynamic requirements. They will continually broaden their technical understanding to stay informed as the AWS Certification landscape changes and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) throughout the larger Partner Training organization.

Key job responsibilities

As a Partner Certification Readiness Manager, you will be responsible for driving and delivering multiple complex projects simultaneously. You will spend 80% of your time engaging with AWS Partners to identify opportunities to drive participation in public certification programs and develop a portfolio of private delivery opportunities with organizations as well. This includes the development and execution of certification strategy to scale and reach 180K+ Partner organizations with our available programs, identify partner training needs currently unmet by our offerings, drive certification adoption through partner engagements and training events, manage enablement programs, optimize certification process through improvement of certification journeys, build and maintain partner learner relationships through the certification distinction program, and constantly analyze market trends to enhance the APCR program. Help drive significant growth in the number of AWS certifications for our Partner organizations, constantly work towards driving revenue growth for the AWS economy. You will work to identify ways to encourage broad adoption of the AWS Skill Builder platform through net-new accounts, enterprise license activation, and growth through the services individual subscription offering. You will work closely with and Partners to identify and drive innovative solutions that achieve business goals and align with long-term product roadmaps.

Qualifications

- 3+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience

- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

- Experience in driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

- Exceptional written and verbal communication. Comfortable presenting in large groups and communicating with senior management.



Extended Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent

- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

- Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software

- Experience leading cloud engagements with a focus on infrastructure, complex systems, systems engineering.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $83,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
