AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

The Global Channel Programs organization is responsible for developing and implementing industry leading partner programs for Solution Providers and Distributors. The Programs team is seeking a entrepreneurial, partner obsessed, innovative program leader who excels at cross-functional program management.

You will will own the project management of key program initiatives working across Partner Management, Operations, Finance, and GEO Stakeholders. This is a critical role with high visibility that will require a self-directed individual, with strong attention to detail, strong project management skills, and the curiosity to deep dive to drive change with current and new Channel Program mechanisms. The successful candidate will have the ability to multitask, work autonomously with limited guidance, make smart and timely decisions, and enjoy working in a fast paced global environment.

This position involves regular engagement with senior management on status, risks, and is a key contributor to deliverables that provide updates on the performance of existing programs and those that are under development. As the project management leader , you will be the primary interface with the rest of the Channel Programs team, Operations, Partner Management, partners and other stakeholders. You will build a collaborative relationship with these stakeholders, working closely to identify and resolve program/project blockers and highlight risk.

You will also be responsible for developing dashboards, executive summaries, 2X2s and other reporting that summarize the performance of our programs that are timely and easy to understand by stakeholders.

Key job responsibilities

The ideal candidate for this role will be able to:

-Establish project plans/tracking mechanisms for key channel program initiatives, with clear owners, milestones, dependencies and metrics with inputs from key stakeholders.

-Identify and communicate potential risks and obstacles with Channel initiatives, processes, or system issues affecting a program launch, providing recommendations for corrective action to business stakeholders.

-Interact with stakeholders at multiple levels and lead business, operation, partner management, and finance teams to integrate their voice/dependencies into program launch plans.

- Identify and analyze data sets to report on Channel Program/Incentive performance, lead collection of inputs for monthly MBR.

-Plan and independently prioritize and manage multiple parallel projects.

-Create, maintain and disseminate project information to stakeholders and management.

-Be flexible to changing dynamic team environment and changing priorities.

-Be a visible and vocal role model across the wider Amazon Partner Organization, champion Channel Partner needs using data, partner and stakeholder input to anticipate and exceed them.

A day in the life

In this role you will 1/Develop project plans for key Channel Program initiatives working across a diverse set of stakeholders(Program Mgrs., Investment and Incentives, Circle of Excellence(CoE), Geos, finance, legal and Partner Mgt); 2/Develop dashboards and other reporting mechanisms for current channel programs and approach for new ones; 3/Support the development and launch of new program pilots and initiatives(e.g. partner enablement)

The Global Channel Programs team is responsible for developing programs, incentives, and business development initiative that drive revenue growth and investment for both 1 tier(Solution Providers) and 2 tier(Distributors). The team's works collaboratively across Geo's to drive predictable, scalable programs that drive partner adoption at scope, minimize operational friction, and extend AWS's reach with new customers and new markets.

Qualifications

- 3+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent

- 3+ years of business agreements development, negotiation and execution experience

- Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software

- Experience in setting up and managing a sales pipeline



Extended Qualifications

- Experience in online advertising or high-tech products/services

- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $83,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
