Description

We are the People eXperience Foundation (PXF), dedicated to creating exceptional employee experiences and developing distributed web services that support over 1 million Amazon employees daily.

Our team drives the A to Z Assistant (AZA), an AI-powered virtual assistant that helps Amazon employees efficiently find information and complete tasks. With AZA, we are enhancing search capabilities to provide faster, more intuitive solutions, allowing employees to simply ask for what they need using natural language.

As a Front End Engineer on the AZA team, you will focus on crafting modern, user-friendly experiences and services using cutting-edge AWS technologies. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the architecture, design, and implementation of core features that boost employee productivity and satisfaction.

Key job responsibilities

Join the AZA team as a Front End Engineer, where you'll focus on developing the A to Z Assistant—a tool that empowers Amazon employees to find information and complete tasks more efficiently. You'll leverage AWS technologies to create innovative, modern experiences and services for users and content owners.

As a key contributor, you'll help shape the architecture, design, development, and launch of core product features, playing a significant role in influencing our overall strategy.

We seek candidates with a strong track record of delivering new features and products in dynamic, fast-paced environments. You should excel in building high-quality, scalable, and innovative technology solutions where priorities shift rapidly.

Essential qualifications include solid technical expertise, a deep understanding of computer science fundamentals, and a strong commitment to teamwork. Excellent communication skills are crucial for collaborating effectively with both business and technical partners.

We're looking for someone passionate about new opportunities, with a proven history of success in launching new features and products.

You'll take part in the entire software development lifecycle, from planning and prioritization to design and delivery. You'll promote excellence in software engineering practices and Agile methodologies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn complex AI and ML technologies into intuitive tools for developers.

Additionally, you'll drive team growth and development through recruiting, mentoring, and leadership.



Qualifications

- 2+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience

- 1+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience

- Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react



Extended Qualifications

- 1+ years of agile software development methodology experience

- Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
