Amazon is looking for a bright, customer obsessed, and motivated individual to join the Amazon Fresh Stores team.Amazon Fresh is a new grocery store designed from the ground up to offer a seamless grocery shopping experience, whether customers are shopping in store or online. We’ve also introduced new ways to make grocery shopping more convenient, including Just Walk Out technology and the Amazon Dash Cart, which enables customers to skip the checkout line, and Alexa features to help customers manage their shopping lists and better navigate our aisles.
We’re looking for an exceptionally motivated and talented Merchandising Manager with strong customer focus, analytical skills, and an entrepreneurial spirit to join the merchandising team. You will help execute, and deliver on detailed plans and timelines, and communicate to leadership on status, risks, and process changes. You will need to thrive and deliver results in an ambiguous, and fast-paced business environment, operating across multiple teams and levels in the organization.
The ideal candidate will have strong customer experience intuition, business and product sense combined with solid understanding of technical concepts. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. High judgment, ability to influence, analytical talent, exceptional communications, and leadership are essential to success in this role.
Key job responsibilities
* Identify and implement process improvements and opportunities for innovation and simplification in planograms and merchandising processes.
* Coordinate cross-functional teams, and communicate with internal and external partners, while meeting tight deadlines.
* Act as the ‘business owner’, possessing a thorough understanding of internal and external variables that impact our business.
* Conduct financial analysis of business opportunities to meet and exceed goals.
*Identifies metrics, creates tracking, and auditing mechanisms for floor planning
*Data analyst for floor planning: data pulling for current allocations in stores, locations of planograms in stores, work order mapping
*Creates audits to ensure work orders get promoted and assigned to the right places in stores
*Identifies go-forward planogram needs, new subcategory macro space allocations, macro unique identifies, and central resources
*Floor planning reporting: pulls data for current merchandisable space in store, future facing space, historical performance data, and expected capacity reporting
*Floor plan maintenance: ticketing, escalations, merchandising STUs (seek to understand) and planogram/WO discrepancies requiring central merchandising insight
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $72,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $155,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
