Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Financial Analyst to be a key member of the AWS GenAI team. This role is critical in not only addressing financial deliverables (Weekly Business Review, Monthly Financial Reviews, Operating Plans, pricing/discounts, etc.) but also driving the business to find efficiencies to grow profit. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively, manage multiple and time sensitive deliverables across a highly matrixed organization, along with managing risks and opportunities. The individual will also possess strong business partnership skills and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders.
A day in the life
Present financial summary and business insights to the business and finance leadership. Develop and standardize financial reporting packages. Drive continuous improvements in profitability, free cash flow, and operational efficiency.
About the team
This role will work closely with finance management as well as key business partners across the AWS organization, including Product Managers, Engineers and GMs, to drive thoughtful analysis and controllership. This role requires a self-starter and independent individual with strong financial modeling abilities, problem solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of finance experience- 2+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science)
- Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills
- Experience using data to influence business decisions
- Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting
Extended Qualifications
- 2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience- Experience in TM1, Data Warehouse and SQL

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
