Description
Amazon Leo (Kuiper) is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Customer Operations Finance team. This role will support our mission to provide fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities worldwide through our constellation of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites. You'll partner with business teams across customer operations functions—including field services, customer support, payment processing, and bad debt management—to develop financial models, provide analytical insights, and support operational planning. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to building financial frameworks for a business that will transform internet connectivity worldwide.Key job responsibilities
- Support financial planning and analysis for customer operations functions, including development of financial models, forecasting processes, and performance metrics
- Partner with business teams to analyze operational efficiency and identify cost optimization opportunities while maintaining focus on customer experience
- Develop and maintain scorecards and metrics to track financial and operational performance, providing insights to leadership
- Conduct financial analysis for partnerships and vendor relationships, including contract evaluations and cost assessments
A day in the life
In this role, you'll collaborate with various stakeholders to analyze customer operations costs and performance. You might start your day reviewing field services installation metrics, then transition to analyzing customer support cost trends with the operations team. You could be building a financial model to evaluate vendor proposals or preparing analysis on payment processing costs for a business review. Your work will support critical decisions that balance operational efficiency with our commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
About the team
You'll be joining the Business Operations Finance team for Amazon's Project Kuiper, supporting the Customer Operations function. This team plays a critical role in ensuring the financial success of our global broadband service, working closely with field services, customer support, and other operational teams. As we build this business from the ground up, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to financial strategies that will directly impact our ability to deliver affordable, high-quality internet service to customers around the world.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 3+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 3+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
- - Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Extended Qualifications
- 3+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience- Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis
- Experience with cube engine tools (e.g. TM1, Cognos or Essbase), SQL and Data warehouse
- 3+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Knowledge of field services and customer support/customer service operations and related KPIs
- Experience in telecommunications, internet service providers, or satellite industry finance
- Familiarity with global operations and multi-country financial management
- Understanding of subscription-based business models and related financial metrics

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
