Description
Join Amazon’s Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) Finance team.Generative AI presents a generational opportunity to redefine our engineering velocity, and the AGI Data Services (AGI DS) Finance team is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to partner with AGI Data Services, a fast-scaling business at the center of AGI development.
The AGI DS Finance team provides the financial foundation for building Artificial General Intelligence. In this role, you will support strategy in a fast-growing area, developing models and insights that help bring advanced AI to life. You will learn every day, collaborate across teams, and help Amazon deliver more value for customers while contributing to society.
This role blends financial expertise with curiosity, supporting decisions that improve efficiency, scale, and investment in the future of AI. You’ll gain exposure to how Amazon builds and operates generative and AGI systems, while contributing to both strategic planning and day-to-day finance.
We’re looking for someone with strong analytical skills, experience in financial modeling and reporting, and a desire to learn how AGI is built and scaled. You should be comfortable with ambiguity, able to create structure where playbooks don’t exist, and skilled at working across teams.

Key job responsibilities
- Support monthly close and planning cycles for AGI DS with a focus on headcount, cost, and pricing reporting
- Develop financial models to evaluate trade-offs, support strategic planning, and guide investment in new GenAI services
- Identify, quantify, and drive operational efficiency and cost-savings initiatives across AGI DS workflows and customers
- Partner with the business to design and implement KPIs, dashboards, and reporting solutions that deliver insights and enable quicker, more effective decision-making
- Build and maintain in-depth knowledge of AGI DS initiatives, goals, and challenges across data generation, annotation, and model review services
A day in the life
You will collaborate with AGI DS leaders and Finance team to design KPIs, reporting solutions, and financial models that support faster, smarter decision-making. Your work will span both day-to-day priorities, such as vendor and workforce cost analysis, and forward-looking planning.
Because this is a fast-growing space, you’ll help shape new approaches and build mechanisms.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field- 3+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
Extended Qualifications
- MBA, or CPA- 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- Experience with cube engine tools (e.g. TM1, Cognos or Essbase), SQL and Data warehouse

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
