Description

The Amazon Stores Strategic Finance team (FP&A) seeks a Senior Finance Analyst to join the FP&A team for the Amazon Stores CFO. This analyst will provide key analysis and financial reporting in support of the key financial processes such as the Amazon Stores planning (OP1/OP2) and Guidance forecast processes. This role interacts regularly with the greater Stores FP&A community, Stores Finance Leadership team, Technology teams, and Corporate FP&A.

Key job responsibilities

- Influence business decisions with executive leaders through financial modeling, metrics, and reporting.

- Collaborate with central finance teams (e.g., FP&A, Corporate Controller) to align on financial policies, processes, and reporting standards, ensuring consistency across the organization.

- Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support strategic decision-making, such as evaluating new initiatives, investments, or organizational changes.

- Provide financial training and guidance to business partners and stakeholders, fostering financial literacy and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.

- Monitor and analyze key financial metrics, performance indicators, and variances, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.

- Participate in cross-functional initiatives and projects related to financial systems, data management, and analytics to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)



Extended Qualifications

- MBA, or CPA

- Knowledge of Tableau

- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

- Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis

- Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results

- Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
