Description
Amazon seeks a principal finance manager to join the Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to change the way the finance organization at Amazon works. The successful candidate will lead company-wide finance transformation projects that change how Amazon consumes, stores, organizes, allocates, and analyzes financial data. This individual will lead the development and implementation of initiatives underlying the financial integrity of our external and internal reporting, including business and segment allocations and reporting infrastructure. Your job is to challenge the status quo – to think differently about how finance supports the business and how to grow the company. You will you work closely with business finance teams across Amazon to identify paint points in financial processes, such as in allocations and reporting, in order build recommendations and programs that will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance organization. This person will need to understand business unit financials and anticipate the impact of finance transformation projects on other teams and processes.As a principal finance manager, you are accountable for the integrity of financial reporting for Amazon and for delivering valuable insights that impact business results. You are able to effectively articulate insights to leadership and the impact to each specific business. You assess risk to financial systems and reporting. You think big and influence senior leaders on strategic decisions that drive scalable long-term growth in the business. You lead the development of strategic financial analyses and models to solve complex challenges facing the business and bring a global perspective to your work and teach others how to identify global impacts. You are right, a lot and demonstrate exceptional judgment in decisions that have financial, business, operational, or customer impacts often in high-pressure situations with deadlines.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- 7+ years of finance technology, forecast & budgeting, or other finance-focused competency experience
- Experience with Tableau, Python, SQB, Quicksight, Cognos or or other BI packages
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $125,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $207,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
