AWS Service Finance seeks a world class Finance Manager to drive large scale system development initiatives for the AWS Service Finance Organization.

This role requires a self-starter with a strong background in process improvement, problem solving skills, a keen attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations, and strong program management skills.

The role also has regular interaction with various business units across Amazon and requires strong people skills.

Key job responsibilities

- Identifying process improvement opportunities through close partnership and alignment with AWS Service Finance.

- Collaborating with product teams to identify business and technical requirements, including customer experience improvements, and prioritizing requests for software development teams

- Executing process improvement initiatives to build scalable systems to support business growth.

- Driving optimization opportunities/initiatives and implementing new business processes.



Qualifications

- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience

- 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results



Extended Qualifications

- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

- MBA, or CPA

- Knowledge of SQL/ETL

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
