Description
As a Finance Manager for Kindle Unlimited, you play a critical role in the content acquisition strategy for KU's digital library. In partnership with the Data Science team, you assess the long term value of potential content acquisitions and in partnership with the Vendor Manager team, you assess the compensation we should offer publishers to drive long term profitability. You'll collaborate with business leaders to provide financial insights, develop forecasts, analyze financial metrics, and support strategic decision-making. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, excellence in delivering on complex, multi-pronged workstreams, and the skill to translate complex financial data into actionable recommendations.Key job responsibilities
- Lead ad hoc analytical projects that require cross-functional collaboration across business teams (Science/BI/Product/VM), and other finance teams.
- Establish forecasting models for content ROI
- Vet publisher contract terms to support vendor negotiations.
- Implement AI and automation solutions to optimize reporting processes, reduce manual effort, and increase insights
- Lead and own key workstreams in annual financial planning, ensuring alignment with business objectives and long-term strategy

This role regularly collaborates with Product Managers who own Selection strategy, the Data Scientists that help determine content valuation, and 2 Finance Manager peers who also support Kindle Unlimited.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
Extended Qualifications
- MBA, or CPA- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
- Experience communicating results to senior leadership

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
