Description

As member of the Operations Insights, Planning, Analytics and Technology (IPAT) team, this position owns WW Operations month end reporting.The Finance Manager will partner with the World Wide Operations teams to setup scalable processes and controls. The Finance Manger will need to own setting up governance framework; build and maintain processes while partnering with stakeholder teams to improve controllership. The Finance Manager will need to be capable of operating with a high degree of autonomy, and hence needs to demonstrate a high degree of comfort with ambiguity besides holding a high bar on professional integrity.
The successful candidate will have a high attention to detail, unlimited curiosity, and a strong passion for continuous improvement. This role requires extensive cross-functional partnership with various operations, supply chain, finance, and other support teams to identify and address cost opportunities across the network. This individual will contribute to month end close, cost business reviews, network scale initiatives, and ad-hoc analysis.
Key job responsibilities
- Driving finance communication with diverse partner teams on operational performance and financial impact
- Drive automation and scale of financial reporting by simplifying process for internal stakeholders (e.g. finance peers and business partners).
- Use AI tools to draft and refine financial narratives, business cases, and strategic documents that align with Amazon's writing principles
- Spearhead key automation projects, collaborating across Finance and Technology teams to achieve high-impact results and enhance operational efficiency

Qualifications
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
- 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
Extended Qualifications
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
