We take working hard, having fun, and making history seriously.The AWS Global Services Finance team has an opening for a Finance Manager to partner with AWS Paid Support. This role will work closely with senior finance management and key business partners to drive product pricing, financial planning, decision support and controllership for the Paid Support business.
This role requires a finance leader who is excited to work on dynamic and often ambiguous business challenges. This is a direct business-finance partnership role, requiring frequent collaboration with Product Managers and Go-to-Market leaders. You will be relied on to bring financial insights to challenges such as new product pricing, revenue forecasting, and growth strategies.
Key job responsibilities
You will be the single threaded finance owner for the top-line performance of multiple product lines within the Support organization.
• Develop revenue forecasts in collaboration with key stakeholders
• Build the financial case for new product launches, and define the pricing strategy for these products
• Provide oversight on pricing discounts to ensure they appropriately balance growth and profitability
• Assess monthly revenue performance to identify key trends impacting performance
• Communicate financial results in both concise written form and verbally to executive stakeholders
• Coordinate and collaborate with finance and BI partners to automate key processes
Qualifications
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
Extended Qualifications
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
