Description

As member of the Operations Insights, Planning, Analytics and Technology (IPAT) team, this position will support Outlook and Month End Close Reporting.

The Finance Manager will partner with the World Wide Operations teams to deep dive monthly and weekly metrics to draft an actionable narrative for senior leadership. The Finance Manager will need to be capable of operating with a high degree of autonomy, and hence needs to demonstrate a high degree of comfort with ambiguity besides holding a high bar on professional integrity.

This candidate will be responsible for working very closely with other FP&A teams, development of financial models and developing the reporting framework. The role requires an understanding of the end to end operations network and drive accurate financial reporting and controls.

The WW Operations outlook is a highly visible and includes the following responsibilities among others:

Month End Close Reporting

WW Operations weekly outlook

This role requires strong analytical acumen, operations understanding, controllership, and a keen attention to detail. This role also requires strong verbal and written communication skills.

Key job responsibilities

- Conduct analysis to understand the E2E business and report to senior management.

- Deliver meaningful insight and narrative for the weekly outlook

- Drive continuous innovation and communication to both your operations & other business partners.

- Driving process improvement and automation for reporting and review process.



Qualifications

- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

- 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience

- 6+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience

- 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

- 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience

- 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience

- 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience



Extended Qualifications

- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

- MBA, or CPA

- Knowledge of SQL/ETL

- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
