Amazon’s North American Customer Fulfillment (NACF) Finance is looking for a Finance Manager to be a trusted partner for IQ (Inventory & Quality) Finance, supporting the NA Quality team. The team accomplishes this by owning the financial planning cycles, monitoring critical metrics/controls and leveraging trust to influence areas with the largest impact. The ability to learn and be curious while working through a high degree of complex ambiguity in order to think big while inventing and simplifying for process improvement is critical.
Key job responsibilities
- End to end ownership of the financial planning cycles which includes OP1/2 and quarterly guidance for NACF Quality and contributes to MBR/QBR commentary
- Owns critical business reporting for quality spend and performance
- Earning trust and partnering with key stakeholders and cross functional teams in NA Quality, AFT Finance and NACF Central Finance teams
- Drive efficiency and improvement over current standard work
- Deliver scalable solutions to better understand cost and where opportunities exist to improve
- Leveraging internal systems to deep dive financial and productivity results to drive action (QuickSight, PowerBI, SQL, CAMP)
A day in the life
This role supports the NA Quality team and will have responsibility planning for budget cycles (OP/Quarterly Guidance), cost controllership around network ICQA spend, inventory controls/SOX Compliance and ah hoc support to the NA Quality team. You partner with stakeholders and deliver data driven insight to affect change and improve cost efficiency for our internal and external customers.
About the team
The IQ Finance team supports the NA Quality organization in helping reduce inventory defects and optimizing cost across the North American Customer Fulfillment (NACF) network. The team owns financial planning cycles, reporting and controls monitoring. We work with a diverse set of partners including AFT Finance, Accounting, NACF Central Finance teams, AFT and global operations partners for controls monitoring/expansion.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
Extended Qualifications
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
- Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
- Experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
