Advertising Finance is seeking a Finance Manager to be a part of Advertising Creative Trust and Services (ACTS) finance team. This role will support SP&S team within ACTS. This teams provide critical support to ensure we provide the best experience to Amazon advertisers and customers.

This role will manage the FP&A activities, partner with business teams including both technology and operations in creating and reviewing business opportunities, setting up metrics, creating financial models and driving automation and productivity improvement. The successful candidate will be thoughtful, analytical, and has demonstrated ability to effectively influence the decisions of senior business leaders through clear verbal and written communication, financial analysis, and logical reasoning. The role operates in a fast-paced, global, autonomous and results-oriented environment, and will be an important member of the business leadership team.

This position will also partner with the members of the global advertising team to develop team-wide goals, process improvement initiatives, and assist in the identification of standards for global consistency. This role requires excellent communication and organization skills, including the ability to anticipate, identify and communicate risks to senior leadership across geographies and time zones.

Primary responsibilities include:

Implement and drive the core financial processes and reporting for the business

Lead Financials, Business Metrics and Goals Reviews with senior leadership

Create short and long term financial forecast to assist business in decision making

Identify and create business metrics to understand the operational and financial health of the business and drive improvement

Influence others, insist on the highest standards, have bias for action and challenge the status quo

Identify operating improvements, deep dive on cost structures, and analyze business opportunities/investments.

Assess impact of new business ideas and initiatives

As a Finance Manager, you will be working to ensure controllership of the business, work directly with business leaders to provide insightful financial reports and help influence business decisions. In addition to reporting, you will also be working on impact assessment of new services and projects, thus having a direct impact on the business.

Key job responsibilities

Qualifications

- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

- 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience

- 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

- 4+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)



Extended Qualifications

- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

- MBA, or CPA

- Knowledge of SQL/ETL

- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
