We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Private Brands Finance team. This role will be the Finance Programs leader for the joint Hardlines and Softlines Finance private labels' team, managing the broadly known Amazon Essentials and Amazon Basics brands.

This person will lead strategic projects across the two product families, driving the integration of the reporting and planning processes, exploring and implementing new AI-based solutions and supporting business leaders with actionable insights and recommendations to achieve our goals and initiatives.

Key job responsibilities

Drive the integration and optimization of Finance and Finance-to-Business processes across two product families: Hardlines and Softlines Private Brands, as follows.

Explore the use of existing and new, internally-developed, AI-based solutions to streamline and automatize Finance processes.

Partner with the central Business Intelligence team to standardize and centralize key business performance metrics.

Create meaningful reporting and analysis structure that will drive business improvements and recommend cost reductions.

Recommend, develop and implement financial tools to guide our business partners in achieving our planned top-line and profitability goals and in improving controllership.

Work with partner teams including category finance to deliver continuous improvements to worldwide planning and reporting processes.

Provide Finance leadership for strategic growth and cost reduction projects in partnership with relevant business owners.



Qualifications

- 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience

- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

- 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience

- 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience

- Knowledge of SQL/ETL

- Experience using AI-based tools & assistants to streamline work processes.



Extended Qualifications

- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

- MBA, or CPA

- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
