Description

The International Stores Finance (ISF) seeks a Financial Analyst to support the continued expansion of our International Consumer business. While it’s always “Day 1” at Amazon, this is especially the case in the ISF, Headcount and OPEX team as we continue to grow our international business. This individual will responsible for working with dedicated marketplaces outside of North America, which include but are limited to the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Netherlands, Japan, Australia, Singapore, Sweden, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, and Brazil, and are growing in foot print each year.

To support this rapidly expanding business, we are looking for the “next generation” of great Finance talent to collaborate with multiple Regional Finance and Business teams and assorted Corporate HQ teams to increase financial understanding, improve current processes, deliver overall results, work hard, have fun, and make history.

The successful candidate will be a self-starting contributor with effective finance and strong project management skills. This individual will manage complex projects and dive deep into the details when needed. This person will partner with finance and business leaders across several teams to provide strategic guidance, tactical direction, and decision support.

Key job responsibilities

- Assist with short-term and long-term financial forecasting processes for the International Stores Finance organization. Develop mechanisms and reporting to increase visibility and create insights of regional outputs to International Stores Finance senior leadership.

- Perform financial reporting, ad-hoc project analyses, and financial modeling using a broad range of tools including Excel

- Drive core financial processes for the International Consumer business including month end close, Annual Operating Plan, long range Strategic Plan and Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews

- Complete complex business modeling and analysis to identify operating improvements and deep dive on cost structures

- Drive accountability of financial plans/forecasts and comfortably challenge assumptions

- Drive standardization of planning/forecasting cycles across all International Stores regions as well as global program teams

- Partner closely with multiple regional finance leaders and FP&A organizations across the International Stores business to establish robust forecasting models and variance analysis.

- Drive performance by reinforcing and enhancing metrics through analytics and financial modelling

- Influence business decisions with effective verbal and written communication, data driven analysis and modeling, and presentation of options and alternatives

- Recommend, develop, and implement policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its profitability



Qualifications

- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)



Extended Qualifications

- MBA, or CPA

- Knowledge of Tableau

- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
