Description
Amazon's Payments Finance team is looking for a talented and driven Senior Finance Analyst to support two of our most strategically important and fast-growing payments businesses: Agentic Payments and Amazon Currency Converter (ACC). This role bridges financial rigor and innovation, partnering closely with product, tech, and business leaders to drive financial insights, planning, and decision-making.As a Senior Finance Analyst, you will own financial planning and analysis for your business areas, build scalable reporting mechanisms, and help shape the financial strategy for new payment capabilities including AI-driven agentic payment flows. You will play a central role in driving strategic initiatives — from evaluating new product investments and identifying growth opportunities to influencing resource allocation decisions and shaping the long-term financial direction of the business. This is a high-impact role for a finance professional who thrives in ambiguity, thinks beyond the numbers, and is energized by the opportunity to help define what the future of payments looks like at Amazon.
Key job responsibilities
- Own end-to-end financial planning, forecasting (OP1/OP2), and monthly/quarterly business reviews (MBR/QBR)
- Develop and maintain financial models to track revenue, cost to serve (CTS), variable productivity, OpEx, and headcount (HC) -
- Partner with Product, GTM and Tech teams to evaluate business cases, investment proposals, and new product launches
- Build and maintain reporting dashboards and analytics to provide visibility into key financial metrics and business performance
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to senior leadership on financial performance vs. plan
- Support the Monthly Financial Review (MFR) process, including narrative development and executive-level presentations
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting automation, and analytical frameworks
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Payments stakeholders to align on financial targets and business priorities
- Contribute to the development of a long-term reporting and analytics vision
Qualifications
- Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis- 4+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
- 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
Extended Qualifications
- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience- MBA, or CPA
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
