Description
Amazon's Global Executive Development (GED) team is seeking a Principal, Leadership Development and Executive Coaching to shape and deliver transformative learning experiences for Amazon's senior leaders (Directors and Vice Presidents). This role combines learning design expertise with executive coaching and facilitation skills to create and deliver innovative leadership development solutions.The ideal candidate will design global leadership programs while providing facilitation and strategic coaching support as needed. You'll craft immersive learning experiences, develop curriculum, and deliver coaching that helps leaders enhance their leadership capabilities. This dual focus allows you to both shape the learning journey and support leaders through their development.
While this is an individual contributor role, you'll collaborate with senior leaders and development professionals worldwide. Success requires strong instructional design expertise, coaching credentials, and the gravitas to partner with senior leaders. You'll also contribute to program innovation by analyzing leadership trends and creating strategic recommendations for program enhancement.
Key job responsibilities
Design & Development
• Create engaging leadership development curricula and learning experiences
• Design innovative coaching frameworks and development tools
• Develop measurement strategies to assess program effectiveness
• Craft experiential learning activities and resources to promote learning in the flow of work
Strategic Impact
• Analyze leadership capability requirements and trends
• Transform insights into actionable learning solutions
• Track and measure program effectiveness
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development offerings
Facilitation & Coaching
• Facilitate leadership development programs and learning sessions
• Provide strategic executive coaching to senior leaders
• Lead breakout sessions and peer learning discussions
• Guide participants through leadership assessments and feedback
A day in the life

Qualifications
• 5+ years of Executive-level coaching including a minimum of PCC certification through ICF or equivalent governing body.• 10+ years of leadership experience in a complex business environment.
• Strong facilitation skills both in-person and virtual delivery forums.
• Ability to travel both domestically and globally 30% of working schedule.
• Certified in and experience delivering 360 and other psychometric assessments.
• Strong understanding of group development, adults learning methodology
• Global and cross cultural appreciation and experience developing leaders, designing and delivering learning solutions in multiple countries and across diverse cultures.
• Good interpersonal and leadership skills; a role model for the use of the concepts and skills we teach.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ideally as an author or content creator on relevant topics.
• Strong analytical skills and experience using and presenting data to make decisions.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is required.
Extended Qualifications
• MCC level coaching certification with ICF or equivalent governing body.• 10+ years of executive coaching experience for senior level leaders
• Experience with team/group coaching at the executive level.
• Experience with leadership simulations and other intensive, experiential training methodologies.
• Strong understanding of capabilities necessary to lead in large scale, rapidly growing, highly innovative organizations.
• Experience developing other senior facilitators and trainers.
• Familiarity with business, financial, and process improvement tools, concepts and methodologies.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $134,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $222,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
