Description

AWS Sales, Marketing and Global Services Operations (SMGS Ops) is seeking an exceptionally bright, multitasking and self-motivated individual to support several Directors within SMGS Ops. Notable teams include Salesforce Success Central, SMGS Data Platform and the SMGS Data Science & Econ teams.

This exciting role requires superior attention to detail, the ability to meet tight deadlines, great organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple critical requests. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information, and professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside the company is important.

The successful candidate will possess the ability to complete complex tasks and projects quickly with little to no guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, and take effective action without having to know the total picture. This candidate also has a constant pulse on the teams and can proactively develop and drive creative team morale building activities.

Key job responsibilities

- Proactively coordinate and engage with leadership in planning and organizing events, activities and calendars

- Management of complex calendar and scheduling requirements

- Tracking and helping drive completion of key deliverables and following up on outstanding items

- Acting as a liaison between their leaders and their direct reports and teams

- Driving key team activities (such as staff meeting agendas, all-teams meeting, supply ordering, morale events, off-sites, etc)

- Own team communication cadence, logistics and material

- Managing team organizational charts and group logistics

- Travel arrangement

- Collaborate work with other assistants throughout AWS SMGS and across the rest of the company

- Take meeting notes for strategic meetings

- Sending org wide status reports and executing on team communication mechanisms

- Willingness to take on periodic special projects to stretch your own skills and learn

Qualifications

- 3+ years of senior level leadership support, or 1+ years of Amazon experience

- High school or equivalent diploma

- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications

- Experience with executive level calendar management



Extended Qualifications

- 5+ years of senior level leadership support experience

- Experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company

- Experience managing multiple calendars

- Experience designing processes to maximize efficiency

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $50,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $107,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
