Description

Amazon Databases organization is seeking an exceptionally talented, resourceful and customer centric Executive Assistant to support 2-3 Directors in the databases organization, supporting the Elasticache team. The Executive Assistant in this role must be able to handle ambiguity, shifting business priorities, and collaborate with the larger EA team and business stakeholders. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information as well as professionalism in dealing with senior executives inside and outside of the company is critical. The candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, goal-focused environment while maintaining flexibility, a sense of humor, and composure.

This role requires five (5) days a week in office.

Key job responsibilities

- Proactively coordinate and engage with leadership in planning and organizing events, activities and calendars

- Management of multiple complex calendars and scheduling requirements

- Acting as a liaison for direct reports

- Driving key team activities (such as staff meeting agendas, all-hands meetings, supply ordering)

- Tracking and helping drive completion of key deliverables and following up on items

- Travel coordination for executives

- Participating in planning of events

- Having fun at work and helping others do the same

- This position will work with other assistants throughout the Database Services and across the rest of the company

You will apply a superior attention to detail, great organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines and juggle multiple critical requests while maintaining flexibility, a sense of humor, and most importantly, grace under pressure. Over time, you will build deep and trusting professional relationships with the leaders and their teams, which will blossom into strong partnerships that provide opportunity for special projects with increased responsibility for long-term career growth.

Qualifications

- 3+ years of senior level leadership support, or 2+ years of Amazon experience

- High school or equivalent diploma

- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications

- Experience with executive level calendar management

- Bachelor's degree in business, HR, or a related field



Extended Qualifications

- Experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company

- Experience managing multiple calendars

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $50,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $107,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
