Description
Amazon is looking for a sharp, organized, and experienced Executive Assistant to support the Vice President & Associate General Counsel of Litigation. This is a unique opportunity to be involved in a dynamic in-house legal department with a high level of responsibility. You will be responsible for creating and monitoring complex plans and schedules. You will possess superior attention to detail, an obsession for customers, and the ability to meet tight deadlines and juggle multiple critical requests in a fast-paced environment. You will be able to complete complex projects quickly with little to no guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, be able to take effective action without having to know the total picture, and solve difficult or complex problems efficiently and proactively.Candidates must be able to work effectively in a team environment, building successful working relationships inside and outside of the company, while keeping abreast of general business objectives, policies, standards, procedures and related information in order to maintain a comprehensive awareness of the organization. Impeccable integrity and discretion in handling confidential information, and professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside the company, are key. You must possess superior judgment and problem solving skills, and have an aptitude for prioritization and managing complicated calendaring tasks with diplomacy and discretion. You must also have the ability to quickly learn organizational structure and team objectives, and to adapt to Amazon values and vision along with a can-do attitude. Some flex hours may be required.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage a complex schedule, using discretion in the screening and prioritization of the VP’s time
- Track and help drive completion of key deliverables and follow up on outstanding items
- Facilitate communication and act as an effective liaison between internal and external customers by providing confidential, timely and accurate information
- Drive key team activities (staff meeting agendas, all hands meetings, social events, space planning, and performance reviews)
- Drive key deliverables from external vendors including budget, case, and spend estimates
- Review and prioritize documents and respond as appropriate. Draft and prepare correspondence, announcements, presentations, and reports
- Lead projects independently by researching, preparing, and coordinating material
- Manage the coordination and arrangement of meetings and events, including with high-level executives inside and outside the company
- Arrange complex international and domestic travel
- Have fun at work and help others do the same

Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications- 5+ years of senior level leadership support, or 3+ years of Amazon experience
- High school or equivalent diploma
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
- Experience with executive level calendar management
- Experience with domestic or international travel coordination

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
