Description
Amazon is seeking an Event Program Manager to join our Events team within Internal Corporate Communications. This role will support key Amazon internal events, which are strategic global gatherings designed to unite our internal audience, ensure alignment with business priorities, drive connection, foster community, and celebrate wins.The ideal candidate will be an experienced event professional who combines creative thinking with analytical skills, demonstrating proficiency in both planning and execution. This position requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively, as you'll be working with agencies, vendors, and internal stakeholders across various levels of the organization.
As an Event Program Manager, you'll have exposure to leadership, requiring good writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders. We're looking for an individual who can adapt to changing situations, is good at problem-solving, and can deliver results in a fast-paced environment. This role will have an emphasis process management, documentation, and operational excellence.
Your role will be important in creating high-quality event experiences that educate, inform, connect, and inspire employees. You'll contribute to ensuring these internal events align with Amazon’s business objectives while fostering a sense of community and recognizing achievements within the organization. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the internal culture of Amazon through impactful events, requiring a balance of strategic thinking, creativity, and operational skills.
Key job responsibilities
• Support the end-to-end execution of Amazon internal events, including budget tracking and reconciliation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement workstream strategies and timelines
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure all logistical aspects of the event are managed efficiently
• Assist in preparing updates and results for leadership
• Oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of events, ensuring all activities are carried out as planned
• Develop and maintain comprehensive event documentation, including SOP’s, best practices, and post event analysis reports
• Manage vendor relationships, including contract administration and payment processing
• Develop templates and standardized forms for common event processes
• Support the development of frameworks and mechanisms to standardize execution
• Adapt to changing situations while maintaining program momentum
• Build relationships across various organizational levels
• Contribute creative ideas to improve customer experience at events
• Some Travel may be required depending on event locations

Internal Corporate Communications operates as Amazon's central source for internal company news and events, reaching a global audience of corporate employees. Our team develops and delivers news, announcements, and strategic communications that help employees understand Amazon's business, culture, and workplace, balancing information employees want with information they need to know.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
Extended Qualifications
- Experience using customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs- Experience utilizing systems and tools involving email, web, analytics, and CRM (Marketo, Tableau, Salesforce, etc.) for targeting, segmentation, reporting for demand generation

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $72,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $155,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
