The Amazon Shipping & Freight Event & Content Shared Services team works across Europe and America. We are seeking a self-starting Event Program Manager who will own event management processes, including the adoption of project management tools, owning intake management, calendar logistics, and measurement of team efficiency. A successful candidate will be entrepreneurial with a desire to constantly learn and improve. They will be comfortable with ambiguity. They will demonstrate strong organizational skills, impeccable customer service attitude, and be energetically driven to serve our customers and our team.

Key job responsibilities

• Scope and deliver project management tools, supported by the Head of Content & Events

• Own the measurement of project delivery and collaborate with the team to drive efficiencies

• Implement and manage a tiered event support request system, ensuring efficient intake and prioritization of event management needs

• Oversee scheduling for booking requests and meeting management, utilizing organizational tools and techniques

• Expertly manage meetings, including preparation of supporting documentation, workback plans, alignment of stakeholders, and follow-up action items

• Lead defined projects with clear objectives, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals and strategies

• Manage budgeting and payment processing for the team, ensuring fiscal responsibility and compliance with Amazon's financial policies

• Collaborate effectively with team members on content and event projects, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence in event delivery

• Utilize Amazon's internal tools and systems to streamline event planning processes and enhance cross-functional collaboration



Qualifications

- 1+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

- Experience in marketing or marketing research

- Experience working with global cross-functional teams

- Comfortable navigating a high-volume, fast-paced, rapidly-changing, results-oriented work environment; ability to manage deadlines and deliver results in a fast-paced environment



Extended Qualifications

- Experience working with a major brand or entertainment company in project/production management

- Experience analyzing data and best practices to assess performance drivers

- Strong project management skills and analytical ability; strong oral and written communication abilities

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $53,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $113,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
