Description
Within our growing Amazon Business Global Events/Executive Engagement organization, we are seeking an accomplished event content & programming lead to bring the Amazon Business brand to life at our in-person events with an industry-leading program for event content, thought leadership programming, and speaker management. The right candidate will have a track record of working with a team of marketers and content developers to build content strategies for owned and industry events globally. This role will have end-to-end ownership of programming for event general sessions, breakouts, speaker selection and preparation, and keynote delivery. This person should be creative, results oriented, relentlessly focused on the customer, and push to uphold high standards for writing, brand building, and marketing execution. This person should be passionate about building compelling messages and thought leadership, with the goal of shifting perceptions of procurement and financial decision makers while driving sustained awareness and brand familiarity. You will also report program health regularly to key stakeholders and partner teams across the organization. This position will be based in Seattle (relocation assistance available) and will report to the Global Head of Amazon Business Events/Experiences and US Field Marketing.This is a highly cross-functional role that requires close partnership across executive leadership, speakers, product/portfolio marketing, brand, product management, and other cross-functional teams. It requires strong communication skills, both verbal and written. This role requires an organized, creative marketer and a solid story-teller to shift perceptions through inspiration and thought leadership across industry stages and our owned events and executive programs. As an owner, you will define the Amazon Business global event content strategy and marketing narratives for in-person events. You will also own event content tools and processes drive efficiencies, as well as up-level the storytelling to inspire customers while scaling globally.
Key job responsibilities
- Build, execute, and scale cross-functional event content and programming globally across multiple time zones, setting strategy and long-term vision for event programming
- Define program goals, timelines, and KPIs; communicate expectations with global stakeholders; and report program health to senior leadership regularly
- Establish content framework and mechanisms for content catalog management
- Create and run global speaker certification and development program
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand key messaging and product roadmaps, building successful content strategy for owned and third-party events across multiple verticals
- Develop content planning tools (including GenAI), ensuring consistency across all events worldwide and recommendations for initiatives driving brand consistency and adoption globally
- Identify resourcing plan balancing internal resources with agency support, maintaining customer obsession and frugality
- Oversee event content end-to-end from concept to completion, serving as final reviewer for voice, grammar, and copy editing with relentlessly high standards
- Serve as content and programming lead for Amazon Business flagship event (Reshape) with end-to-end ownership across general session program management, breakout content strategy, and editorial oversight
- Define and document standards for event content, programming, and speaker management; develop playbooks for global teams
- Lead content creation and storytelling for third-party events, translating key messages into compelling narratives for executive and procurement audiences
A day in the life
This person will ensure we have consistent programming across all Amazon Business events. While this role will primarily focus on content, they will also define and refine new program frameworks, including content intake and development processes, and overall attendee experience as it relates to education and thought leadership. With this in mind, each day will vary for this team member.
About the team
The AB Global Events/Executive Engagement and US Field Marketing team builds B2B event marketing programs that engage, inspire, and delight our customers. We are in our fourth year and are looking for someone who can be strategic yet scrappy, look at the big picture while diving in on execution, and is energized by rolling up their sleeves up to develop customer-obsessed events.

Qualifications
- 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience communicating results to senior leadership
- 6+ years of Content Strategy, Programming Strategy, and/or Marketing Strategy experience
- Experience in editing, copy-editing, and proofreading
Extended Qualifications
- Experience dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering measurable results in an agile environment- Experience of B2B marketing best practices
- Knowledge of project management tools and software
- Experience developing, deploying and managing AI products at scale
- 1+ years of organizing events for content creators (e.g. education summits, booths at events) experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
