Description

Every event starts with and ends with communication. The who, what, where, when, and why is what builds anticipation and converts registrants into attendees. We are looking for an event communications manager who can take the overall messages for an event and turn them into compelling communications that drive excitement across the lifecycle of an event (pre, during, post). This individual must love to write and have a passion for coming up with creative ways to engage audiences on a global scale.

Key job responsibilities

1. Develop and implement comprehensive marketing communication plans, to include the channel strategy, and associated workbacks for a suite of global events for both internal and external audiences that cover the full lifecycle of an event (pre, during, and post).

2. Draft copy for proactive and reactive talking points, event registration site and app, and promotional emails that help drive registration and attendance to events

3. Monitor and analyze communication metrics to assess the effectiveness of our strategies and make data-driven improvements event communication plan

4. Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate event communication plans with overall marketing campaigns and ensure messaging consistency across touch points

5. As bandwidth allows, supports content team by writing scripts for senior Amazon leaders that are given in front of live and virtual audiences that bring the content strategy to life for an event or campaign.

6. Thinks outside the box to come up with fun, innovative, and engaging tactics that succinctly describe the intent of an event and get attendees excited to attend.

The Transportation Partner Experience team (TPX) builds innovative and engaging community-focused products for internal and external Amazon partners, including the Delivery Service Partner community. Small business are critical to many aspects of Amazon’s ecosystem and TPX helps these partners be successful by building communities that connect, inform, and inspire the ecosystem of entrepreneurs and business owners who work in harmony with us to improve delivery flexibility, speed and reliability for our customers.



Qualifications

- 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

- Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data

- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion

- Outstanding written and verbal communications skills



Extended Qualifications

- Experience using customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs

- Experience utilizing systems and tools involving email, web, analytics, and CRM (Marketo, Tableau, Salesforce, etc.) for targeting, segmentation, reporting for demand generation

- Executive communications support writing

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $72,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $155,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
