Description
The AWS Professional Services Day 1 Delivery team is seeking a Senior Engagement Manager to drive strategic innovation and delivery excellence across our global operations. This pivotal role combines strategic leadership, operational expertise, and a passion for customer success to elevate our service delivery standards worldwide.As a Senior Engagement Manager, you'll spearhead complex implementation projects while developing scalable delivery capabilities that ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes. You'll partner with field teams to identify and address critical customer needs, design global solutions, and establish robust governance frameworks for Fixed Price engagements.
Your scope encompasses leading strategic delivery initiatives and complex enterprise cloud projects, developing and implementing data-driven performance metrics and KPIs, and building high-performing delivery teams. You'll establish governance frameworks for risk management and compliance, drive operational excellence through process optimization and best practices, and provide strategic insights to senior leadership that shape our delivery capabilities.
Key job responsibilities
* Partner with field teams to identify and prioritize critical customer needs and delivery challenges
* Develop and implement scalable Fixed Price delivery frameworks that drive predictable outcomes
* Design and establish global delivery capabilities that enhance service quality and operational excellence
* Create innovative solutions to complex delivery challenges that can be standardized across ProServe
* Lead initiatives to continuously raise the bar for delivery excellence, quality, and security standards

The Day 1 Delivery Excellence (D1D) team drives AWS Professional Services' commitment to flawless execution and customer success. We establish global delivery standards that combine innovation with proven methodologies, transforming customer engagements into extraordinary experiences. Our team works closely with field teams to create resilient processes and clear requirements, ensuring consistent, measurable outcomes. Through continuous improvement and active collaboration, we capture and scale leading practices across the organization, fostering a customer-obsessed culture that defines excellence in cloud service delivery.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience• 5+ years experience in cloud computing
• Experience in project management of technical programs
• AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification and at least 1 active industry certification (SAFe, PMI, Scrum Alliance, etc.)
• 5+ years delivering customer engagements in a professional services role
Extended Qualifications
• Experience with Agile and project management toolsets (e.g. Jira, Rally, VersionOne, Taiga, Git)• Additional AWS and industry certifications
• Experience using Scaled Agile frameworks (e.g. SAFe, LeSS)
• Managed technical engagements consisting of 15 or more people totaling over $1,000,000 budget
• Has presented to C-level executives and/or senior leadership teams

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $238,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
