AWS is at the forefront of this transformation, and we are seeking a Go-To-Market (GTM) Content and Enablement Specialist to join our worldwide E&U Go-to-Market Business Development team. At AWS we categories E&U in two sub-segments, Power & Utilities (P&U) and Oil & Gas (O&G).
In this role, you will lead key GTM content and field enablement activities, with a focus on the O&G sector. Customers in O&G are transforming their business and investing in digital solutions to improve profitability, operations and sustainability. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, business development, solution architects, partner solutions and services, and marketing. Your primary responsibilities will include:
• Shaping the O&G content and sales enablement strategy, defining the Oil & Gas taxonomy, building O&G use case and solution content, and developing effective communication and training content to accelerate cloud adoption.
• Supporting E&U AWS account teams globally and contributing to customer-facing activities such as global events, Executive Briefings, and customer meetings.
• Building compelling value propositions and working cross-organizationally to prioritize and build consensus.
We are seeking a strategic and analytical thinker with a deep understanding of business outcomes, solutions, and technical challenges. You should have demonstrated experience in GTM content and sales enablement, business development, and marketing. Additionally, you should possess a keen sense of ownership, scrappiness, and the ability to apply creativity and original thinking to this rapidly evolving industry.

The role can be based in our Seattle, WA, Los Angeles/ Santa Monica, CA or Houston, TX offices.
Key job responsibilities
- Own creation and curation of O&G use-case content, training programs and industry knowledge base enabling the field to engage with our customer Line of Business (LoB) executives. .
- Partner with internal cross-functional specialists aligned to the Energy industry. Specialists include business development, sales, solution builders and architects, partner teams, security and compliance, professional services, service teams, and marketing.
- Support the global Sales and Solutions Architects leaders and their account teams to better understand key challenges in the field that can be addressed through content, training, and enablement activities.
- Scale adoption of industry solutions with the field through core mechanisms, such as tooling (Salesforce), sales enablement platforms (Highspot), and communities (Slack).
- Report on the impact of GTM activities, including the impact to LoB opportunity pipeline, specialist engagement, and sales engagement.
- Coordinate and support regional and global team field enablement and engagement initiatives.
- Participate with strategic annual planning and support the narrative capturing industry use case priorities, target customers and needed investments.
- Serve as a key member of the global AWS Energy & Utilities Business Development team to drive overall AWS industry expertise, industry solutions, and technical enablement strategy.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree- 10+ years energy – Oil & Gas, Energy Transition or related industrial sector information technology business development, go to market, partner development or marketing experience.
- 5+ years working knowledge of software development practices and data center / infrastructure / networking / database systems / core distributed computing concepts / fundamentals of cloud computing and emerging paradigms like IoT, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence etc. is highly desired.
- 5+ years of relevant, global work experience
Extended Qualifications
- Strong leadership skills are key, with proven verbal and written communications skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations, internationally and lead through influence.- The right person will be analytical and data-driven, and demonstrate balanced strategy and planning, and execution skills.
- Previous experience with AWS products and services
- Relevant domain knowledge of both systems and applications and the technology provider landscape in the Oil & Gas sector with the ability to go deep on relevant technologies key to the industry.
- Education: Technical background in Computer Science/Engineering/Math is a plus
- Education: an MBA is a plus

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
