As an Electrical Engineering Manager for Launch Vehicle Integration, you will lead a team responsible for electrical interfaces supporting satellite integration and launch operations. You will provide technical leadership, review and guide engineering work, and coordinate closely with partner teams to support integration, production, and mission execution. This role requires strong engineering judgment, the ability to operate in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, and a commitment to high-quality, schedule-driven execution while scaling and developing a high-performing engineering team.

Key job responsibilities

We are seeking an excellent engineering leader who combines superb technical and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. In this role you will:

• Provide technical guidance and decision-making support to engineers working satellite integration and EGSE development

• Prioritize team work based on integration schedules, production needs, and mission priorities

• Coach and mentor engineers through design reviews, test readiness reviews, and problem resolution

• Champion satellite health during integration, identifying and resolving issues before they impact mission readiness

• Capable of reviewing electrical interface designs and analyses from third-party developers, ensuring requirements are met and risks are understood and mitigated

• Drive continuous improvement in how the team executes reviews, testing, and qualification activities

• Balance near-term execution needs with longer-term team development and technical roadmap planning

• Support 10-15% travel to launch sites and external vendors

• Be a technical role model; instilling best practices across the full development cycle

This role is ideal for a candidate who enjoys being close to the technical work/details, values high engineering standards, and takes pride in building and supporting a strong, capable team. If this sounds like the role for you, come make history with us!

A day in the life

As an Electrical Engineering Manager, you will lead the Launch Vehicle Integration – Electrical Engineering development team, supporting satellite integration and launch vehicle interfaces. Your time will be split between reviewing technical work, providing technical direction to your team, and coordinating with partner teams to support ongoing integration and production activities.

You will also spend time coaching engineers and helping the team operate effectively as it scales, while regularly making technical decisions related to requirements compliance, test adequacy, and qualification readiness. You will hold a high bar for engineering quality while keeping work moving forward.

On a given day, you may review electrical interface designs or test results from your team and third-party developers; help resolve issues identified during or prior to satellite integration; support the authoring and execution of system qualification reviews; or provide guidance on EGSE design, use, and deployment. You will work closely with mission management, manufacturing, and integration teams to align priorities, manage risk, and support schedule-driven execution.

This role requires comfort operating in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment where priorities can change and issues must be addressed quickly to support integration and mission needs. You will work with a team of top-notch engineers and collaborate with multiple spacecraft design and integration teams. Along the way, we guarantee that you will learn a lot, have fun, and make a positive impact on tens of millions of people.
