The leader will lead the go to market strategy for innovative cloud-based solutions that help end-users work, communicate, and collaborate more securely, making sure that access to information, places, and things is only available to exactly who the customer intends.
In this pivotal role, you'll lead a talented team of business development leaders, solution architects, partner managers and sales specialists focused on accelerating the growth of our business worldwide. You and your team will develop global strategies to compete in established marketplaces, engage the right business buyers, and develop new demand that doesn't exist today.
Your focus on the inputs that drive long term growth will be a superpower enabling you to drive multiple complex, sales programs to meet adoption and revenue goals. This leader will have the technical savvy to understand our products in detail, and lighten the cognitive load for customers by representing these capabilities in terms of business value selling to business and technical buyers. They will create the operating model necessary for long term customer and business success. Additionally, as a leader-of-leaders role, this candidate will also possess a proven track record of hiring and developing the best.

About You:
- Accomplished B2B business leader with experience building new businesses and engaging directly with customers, including IT buyers and Line of Business leaders.
- Proven track record of relentlessly accelerating the inputs to growth leading to exceeding revenue targets.
- Experience managing sophisticated engagement with complex customers and partners that set up successful long-term relationships.
- Exceptional communication skills to articulate business impact enabled by cloud-native applications to both business technical stakeholders.
- Experience building at scale business and sales organizations with a culture of ownership, collaboration and relentlessly high standards.
- Experience in SaaS business development or Sales.

A Day in the Life:
- Develop long term strategy for reshaping existing market segments, and creating others, working closely with product leaders.
- Develop a deep understanding of the controllable inputs to demand generation and build an organization the knows what needs to happen each day to realize rapid long term.
- Operates as a member of the AWS Solutions GTM leadership team contributing to what we build today and how we deliver for customers tomorrow.
- Engage with C-suite executives, developers, and technical architects to secure lighthouse customers, forge strategic partnerships, and drive top-line revenue growth.
- Craft and deploy demand generation programs across direct sales, partners and working closely with marketing being willing to break the rules when required, while leveraging AWS's global sales force, technology partners, and consulting channels to drive adoption worldwide.
- Mentor and inspire your team, fostering an environment of continuous learning, growth, and excellence.
Qualifications
• 15+ years of relevant P&L management, sales/sales management & business development in cloud technology.• Global experience, proven people management and experience leading large, diverse teams.
• Demonstrated expertise in customer experience technologies, and enterprise application sales.
• Established track record of building rapport with customer executives (e.g., CEO, COO, CIO, CTO, CMO), building close relationships, and closing large revenue accounts.
• Experience and success in negotiating complex deals with customers and partners.
• BA/BS degree required
Extended Qualifications
• Experience in a heavily matrixed sales environment, including developing, implementing, managing, and executing cross-functional solutions- led go-to-market growth initiatives and sales motion.• Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results. Ability to effectively lead a scaled sales organization, and work with a variety of organizations, management levels, cultures, and personalities.
• Deep understanding of cloud technologies, including public and hybrid cloud platforms; technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS a plus.
• Recognized industry expertise in primary discipline(s) with proven public speaking and media prowess.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $232,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $345,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
