Description

Amazon's Internal Corporate Communications (ICC) creates content and experiences that inform, inspire, and connect Amazonians to each other and our future. Within ICC, the Creative Studio specializes in visual storytelling for employee communications. We're seeking a talented designer with strong creative and organizational skills to join our Creative Studio team, someone who will thrive in our high-volume environment, responding to stakeholder design needs with speed, accuracy, and a positive attitude while helping us deliver visual narratives that resonate with our diverse global audience.

As a Designer, Creative Workflow Lead within ICC's Creative Studio, you'll primarily focus on creating visually effective designs (70%) while leveraging your organizational expertise to optimize our creative workflows (30%), maximizing our speed, efficiency, and impact using a range of cloud-based tools and integrating generative AI when appropriate. You'll design across a wide range of formats – from digital experiences and email campaigns to environmental graphics and print materials. Your design sensibility will enhance our visual storytelling, helping deliver high-impact visual communications that connect with employees. Additionally, you'll establish efficient processes that protect creative energy while ensuring we maintain content quality that resonates with corporate employees.

Key job responsibilities

Design Focus (70%)

* You'll create engaging visual content for multiple internal channels including A to Z News, Things newsletter, digital screens, and All-Amazon Global Meetings

* You'll design visual communications across diverse formats – from digital screens and environmental graphics to email headers and editorial layouts

* You'll partner with editorial and channel teams to deliver timely, on-brand content

* You'll collaborate with external agencies and vendors to maintain design quality

* You'll contribute creative direction to help advance visual design across ICC

Workflow & Systems Focus (30%)

* You'll build scalable templates and design systems that allow for rapid execution while maintaining brand standards

* You'll independently prioritize and manage high-volume design requests through monday.com and other workflow systems

* You'll own and optimize our digital asset management system, ensuring organized resources for the team

* You'll identify and solve design workflow challenges for internal stakeholders

* You'll document creative processes and best practices to improve team efficiency

* You'll use data to make decisions that optimize design processes

A day in the life

No two days look alike in this role. You'll split time between hands-on design work and workflow optimization. Your morning might involve creating graphics for the Things newsletter or designing assets for leadership communications. By afternoon, you could be refining our digital asset management system or streamlining how we handle design requests. Throughout the week, you'll balance delivering polished designs that reach thousands of Amazonians with building scalable workflows that keep the Creative Studio operating efficiently.
