Description
Amazon installs a significant quantity of new buildings every year. The historical model has been to allow each integrator to use their own equipment, controls, subsystems, and methodologies. While that has allowed Amazon to be successful to this point, the variability between buildings has proven difficult to support and scale. One MHS’ charge is to build partnerships to focus on consistency and scalability across our network of the future. We will be partnering with key suppliers to help them scale up their manufacturing capabilities to keep up with our needs, as well as refining their designs to drive innovation and operational uptime and better meet the specific needs of Amazon’s operational environment. In partnership with WWDE, OMHS will challenge the status quo on our Gen14 AR sortables building by focusing on critical equipment, controls, and system implementation methods. As our Delivery Manager, you'll be the person who makes it all land — literally. You'll own the end-to-end logistics of getting the right equipment to the right place at the right time, at the project site where the real work happens. This is a high-visibility, high-ownership role with direct impact on whether a building opens on schedule. This Delivery Manager will partner with internal business owners and our external partners, to drive delivery & logistics of these MHE systems. This role serves as the single point of accountability for on-time, right-quality material delivery. You will work directly with site supervisors, suppliers, and internal teams to keep equipment and materials flowing without disruption.
This role will ensure that there are zero delivery-caused delays, all the current material is arriving on-time as per the schedule at the right location. This role will ensure that our partners are working as per the manufacturing plan to deliver their equipment. This role will be first point of contact for any delivery issues or quality issues on-site related to the delivered equipment and will ensure timely resolution of those issues. This role will have a huge contribution to the on-time and on-schedule delivery of a OMHS project
