Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an exceptional Principal Customer Solutions Manager (CSM), for one of the world's largest and most innovative Foundation Model Providers (FMP) on AWS. In this pivotal role, you will help drive one of the most demanding cloud transformations on the planet, tackling extraordinary technical and business challenges at a scale few organizations in the world face.Foundation Model Provider’s compute footprint represents one of the most demanding workloads on the AWS platform, pushing the boundaries of what's possible with exabyte-scale data, millions of interconnected GPUs, complex networking topologies, and custom hardware acceleration requirements. As Principal CSM, you'll establish a deep understanding of their business vision, culture, and processes while guiding them through the people, process, and technology facets of their cloud journey.
This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the development of some of the world's most advanced AI systems. You'll drive adoption strategies and transformation initiatives that enable customers to train, fine-tune, and serve state-of-the-art generative AI models, helping shape the future of artificial intelligence while working at the edge of AI cloud technology.
Role could require travel depending on candidate location, 25-35%.
Key job responsibilities
As Principal CSM, you will help solve the customer’s challenges through new ideas, tools and mechanisms. Successful candidates will have a strong technical background, be aware of details that matter, have excellent problem-solving abilities, and be exemplary communicators both at the executive and project team level. The candidate will have the ability to gain stakeholder buy-in, and negotiate and lead virtual teams, regardless of geographical or organizational boundaries. The candidate’s enterprise cloud experience and operational excellence will influence the team’s decisions, provide insight, and help drive secure and robust solutions. You will drive the effective use of mechanisms to improve migration and adoption velocity and our customer’s ability to operate systems at scale on AWS, reducing their time to benefit.
CSMs understand the Executive and Functional Leader business priorities and work closely with the Account Manager (AM) and rest of the account team to identify and pursue additional commercial opportunities and accelerate the realization of Total Opportunity Spend (TOS) and Total Addressable Spend (TAS). The CSM establishes business, program and change management credibility in the sales process to help win new opportunities. They support onboarding of the greater AWS organization (e.g. Executive Sponsors, Service Teams, ProServ, Specialists), and implement the mechanisms best-suited to pursue active opportunities or resolve priority issues.
The CSM enables a smooth transition between commitment and execution, program managing work streams across people, process and technology. The CSM ensures alignment between customer, AWS and Partners and triggers the right AWS capabilities at the right time to address barriers or gaps. The CSM embeds an Agile way of working to improve productivity surfacing barriers early and focusing on what will make a difference. We use data and patterns of success to help customers take the most direct, frictionless path to scaled usage of AWS cloud. CSMs capture best practices for cloud journey and migration acceleration and continuously enhances best practices repositories.

Qualifications
- 7+ years of senior customer facing role experience- 10+ years of leading complex, large-scale, IT, technical or engineering programs experience
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or a related field
- Experience in leading complex, large-scale, IT, technical or engineering programs
- Experience working with current technologies (especially cloud)
- Travel up to 25% of the time
Extended Qualifications
- PMP/SCRUM/Agile certification or are you SAFe certified- Knowledge of the software development/engineering lifecycle from conception to delivery
- Experience implementing AWS/cloud services
- AWS certification, such as, AWS Solutions Architect, or a similar cloud certification
- Master of Business Administration
- Experience communicating clearly and concisely with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $164,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $284,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
