Description

Amazon's Internal Corporate Communications team is seeking a detail-oriented publishing specialist to support end-to-end communications production across our channels. This role will project manage communications from conception through publication, coordinating assets, stakeholders, and publishing requirements across channels. You'll ensure high production value and consistent quality while managing multiple story workflows in a fast-paced newsroom environment.

Key job responsibilities

Story Project Management:

• Lead end-to-end story coordination from pitch to publication

• Manage cross-channel asset development (copy, visuals, video)

• Track story timelines and dependencies

• Coordinate with Editorial, Design, and Channel teams

• Support breaking news and time-sensitive communications

Multi-Channel Publishing:

• Publish content across a news website, email, and digital screens

• Optimize editorial and visual elements for each channel's requirements

• Optimize search results for key communications narratives

• Ensure quality across all channels

Stakeholder Management:

• Partner with story owners on requirements and timelines

• Coordinate with Design team on visual assets

• Support Editorial team on story development

• Maintain publishing calendar and status tracking

Performance Tracking:

• Pull and analyze individual story performance

• Track banner and search metrics

• Identify content optimization opportunities

• Report on key story metrics

A day in the life

You're the project manager ensuring our stories come to life effectively across all channels. Your morning starts with reviewing upcoming stories, coordinating with designers on visual assets, and updating story owners on timelines. By mid-morning, you're publishing a feature story to our internal news site, optimizing it for search, and coordinating the email and digital screens versions. After lunch, you're managing banner placements, pulling performance metrics for recently published stories, and coordinating with Editorial on next week's content pipeline. Success means keeping multiple story workflows moving while maintaining high quality across all channels.

Internal Corporate Communications operates as Amazon's central source for internal company news and events, reaching a global audience of corporate employees. Our team develops and delivers news, announcements, and strategic communications that help employees understand Amazon's business, culture, and workplace, balancing information employees want with information they need to know.



Qualifications

- 2+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

- Experience in a marketing role

- Bachelor's degree



Extended Qualifications

- Experience working with a Content Management System (e.g. Wordpress, Drupla, Joomla, etc.)

- Experience using integrated campaigns to solve brand/business challenges

- Experience in newsroom or corporate communications

- Knowledge of digital publishing best practices

- Background in editorial operations

- Experience with data analytics and reporting

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $54,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $116,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
