Description

The Content Operations Manager is responsible of managing event content development, organization, and execution for various AWS events. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring seamless and engaging content experiences for attendees by raising the bar on content operations at events. They work very closely with content program managers to support content operations across owned event series. They play a pivotal role in orchestrating and managing all aspects of event content operations, ensuring seamless execution and delivery of high-quality content experiences across events. They establish best practices, invent and simplify by streamlining process, and insist on the highest standards when it comes to content delivery onsite.

Key job responsibilities

Content Operations

- Familiar with content operations workflows. Content operations includes but is not limited to: space planning, AO management, scheduling operations, SRR (scheduling/setup/support) scanning/reserved seating, content tool operations, session catalog/mobile ops, stakeholder/expo content, speaker communications and inbox management, workshop staffing and operations, wiki management, post-event publishing, on-site execution, post-mortems, CMS management, embargo workstreams, and innovation talks workstreams.

- Implement standardized content operations processes, workflows and best practices

- Collaborates closely with Content Program Managers for end-to-end content event planning and execution.

- Are experts in major operational workstreams across event series, and are always on the lookout for bottlenecks and ways to streamline processes and build better mechanisms

- They support the development and enforcement of content delivery policies, standards and guidelines

- They are onsite at events, ensuring operational excellence of content onsite

- Continuously refines and enhances content operations to deliver exceptional attendee experience

- Develops best practices for owned workstreams

- Builds training material, owns documentation, and mentors others in key workstreams of expertise

Content tooling & technology

- Manages the content management systems, relationships with tooling vendors that provide technology for content creation, storage, and delivery

- Works with Event Technology Operations to capture content operational needs and track development

- Builds bases and automated processes in Airtable to track workflow process

Content operations measurement and improvement:

- Establish key performance indicators and goals to measure the success of content operations

- Analyze data and feedback to identify areas for improvement, implementing optimization and best practices

- Engage in continuous learning and stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to content operations

We lead the content arm of AWS highest tiered event series, manage complex content operations, and ensure exceptional execution from strategy to delivery.

Qualifications

- 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion

- Experience with Airtable to build bases, capture data, and create automations



Extended Qualifications

- - Experience with events, including onsite event execution and event planning

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $72,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $155,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
