Description
As a Software Development Engineer in the CCR Ops & Tech organization, you will work in a collaborative team environment delivering software components and improvements. Our team, formed in 2022, works on initiatives that help internal customers access and understand Amazon's communications efforts globally, while contributing to Amazon's public-facing information platform.In this role, you will develop and maintain web applications that support editorial workflows and content delivery. Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll write well-tested, production-quality code and contribute to feature implementations. You'll participate in code reviews to both receive and provide feedback, helping ensure our team maintains high engineering standards.
A day in the life
Your daily work will involve writing maintainable, efficient code that meets Amazon's engineering standards. You'll collaborate with your peers throughout the software development lifecycle, from initial implementation through testing, deployment, and operations. We provide regular guidance and checkpoints through code reviews and team meetings, helping you grow your technical skills while maintaining independence in your coding work.
The ideal candidate should have experience writing production code and a solid understanding of software development fundamentals. You should be comfortable working in a team environment and demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities. Most importantly, you should be eager to learn and grow your technical skills through hands-on experience and mentorship from more senior engineers.

Our work spans several core initiatives supporting Amazon's communications efforts, giving you exposure to different types of software development challenges. Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Extended Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
