Prime Air is seeking an experienced a Sr. Product Manager, to build and manage our selection strategy. You will own selection for Prime Air to maintain and specifically cater to customer needs for ultra-fast delivery. They will work across external stakeholders such as Retail category leaders, Vendor Managers, and SCOT to optimize our 1P/3P selection. Additionally, this role will be responsible for expanding the existing selection management process to enable new types of US & WW Fulfillment Centers and drive improvements to reduce manual intervention. Role will also partner with the Compliance and D&G team to unlock items restricted by the current will-carry manual and error rates, and support any net-new requirements set by EASA for international expansion (i.e., hazmat).
The right candidate will be able to leverage their technical depth to partner closely with engineers and will play a key role in defining and executing on the end to end strategy. This role will encompass owning and leading the development and integration of Forecasting for Prime Air and driving S&OP. You will be collaborating closely with key internal/external stakeholders such as Program, SDS, BOSS, AMOS, and other technology partners.
The successful candidate will be input focused and will have isolated and correlated inputs to achieve impactful outputs, built closed loop processes and measures to ensure adoption of products and processes so that improvements are realized. S/he/They will also have proven ability to assess situations and guide teams toward both short-term and longer-term systemic changes. The ideal candidate will possess an analytic, statistical and optimization background to enable strategic planning and strategic service initiatives planning. In this role you will experience a wide range of problem-solving situations, strategic to real-time, requiring extensive use of data collection and analysis.

- Define impactful In-stock metrics and goals for Prime Air owned & operated sites (e.g., Weeks of Cover, Out of Stock, Inventory Age, etc.) aligned with Amazon Retail best practices
- Site-level selection - work with science and selection teams to identify a site-level selection list accounting for local customer behavior, site space, and constraints.
- Driving in-stock - Ensure high in-stock levels for speed-sensitive products. Drive ASIN-level forecasting for S&OP planning.
- Understands domain and competitive landscape of ultra-fast/convenient services
- Develops culture of experimentation and innovation to solve core customer needs by providing relevant, speed-sensitive selection
Qualifications
- 3+ years of industry work experience- Bachelor's degree
- Strong analytical skills with experience in large-scale data analysis and data-driven decision making
- Track record of leading cross-functional initiatives and delivering complex technical products
- Experience working with technical teams and contributing to technology decisions

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
